Number 5

IRT EAST SIDE: "5" Train

  • Take the No. 5 Dyre Ave. train uptown/North to the Bronx.
  • Get off at the Pelham Parkway/Esplanade stop.
  • Walk one block from the station to Pelham Parkway, a six-lane, tree-lined parkway.
  • Cross to the opposite side of the Parkway (from North to South)
  • Take the Number 12 bus east to Jacobi Medical Center.
  • Or walk about 8 blocks east (left) along the Pelham Parkway South Service Road to the hospital.
Number 2

IRT WEST SIDE: "2" Train

  • Take the No. 2 White Plains Rd./241st St. train uptown/north to the Bronx.
  • Get off at Pelham Parkway, and use the exit at the rear of the station.
  • On Pelham Parkway South take the Number 12 bus (east) to Jacobi Hospital.
  • The bus ride will take about 10 minutes � about 1 and 1/2 miles.
  • The bus stops by the main entrance to Jacobi Medical Center, near building #1.
  • Alternatively, get off the No.2 train at 180th street in the Bronx and transfer to the No.5 and follow directions under IRT EAST SIDE above.
Number D

IND 6th Avenue: "D" Train

  • Take the "D" train North to the Bronx.
  • Get off at Fordham Road (Grand Concourse).
  • Take the No. 12 bus on the South side of Fordham Road directly to Jacobi Hospital (eastbound about 3 miles).
Bus

Express Bus (Fare = $3)

  • Take the New York Bus Service Morris Park Bus (BxM-10). This bus runs up Madison Avenue and down Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
  • Call the New York Bus Service (718) 994-5500 for pick-up points and time schedule.
  • Get off at Morris Park Avenue at the corner of Eastchester Road.
  • Cross Morris Park Avenue and walk (left) uphill one block to the Morris Park entrance to Jacobi Medical Center; or
  • Get off at Eastchester Road and Pelham Parkway. Cross Eastchester Road and walk one-half block west on Pelham Parkway South to Main Entrance of Jacobi Medical Center (The pediatric ED is in the new building #6.)

From BROOKLYN

  1. Brooklyn-Queens Expressway to Triborough Bridge to the Bronx.
  2. Bear right for Bruckner Expressway.
  3. Follow signs on the Bruckner for Throgs Neck Bridge.
  4. Exit at Bronx River Parkway.
  5. Take Bronx River Parkway North to Pelham Parkway exit.
  6. Follow Pelham Parkway East to Jacobi Medical Center. Enter Main Gate. Visitor's parking will be on your immediate left.

From QUEENS - Same as Brooklyn - OR:

  1. Whitestone Bridge to Hutchinson River Parkway to Pelham Parkway West exit.
  2. Take Pelham Parkway West to Eastchester Road.
  3. Turn left at Easterchester Road to Morris Park Avenue.
  4. Turn right at Morris Park Avenue to Seminole Avenue.
  5. Turn right into Morris Park Gate and park in Visitors' Parking.

OR - Throgs Neck Bridge to New England Thruway to Pelham Parkway West exit. Then continue with step #2 above.

From MANHATTAN East Side

  1. F.D.R. to Triborough Bridge to the Bronx.
  2. Bear right for the Bruckner Expressway.
  3. Continue with step #3 - from Brooklyn.

From MANHATTAN West Side

  1. Take the West Side Highway north to the Cross Bronx Expy (Route 95 East).
  2. Take the Cross Bronx to exit 4B (to the Bronx River Parkway).
  3. Follow signs over the Cross Bronx and left to the Bronx River Pkwy North.
  4. Take the Pelham Pkwy exit off the Bronx River Pkwy as in directions from Brooklyn above (# 5 and 6).

From WESTCHESTER
West

  1. Saw Mill River Parkway to Cross County Parkway East
  2. Cross County Parkway East to Bronx River Parkway South to Pelham Parkway exit.
  3. Follow Pelham Parkway East to Jacobi Medical Center, enter Main Gate.

East

  1. Hutchinson River Parkway South to Pelham Parkway Westbound exit.
  2. Take Pelham Parkway West to Eastchester Road.
  3. Turn left at Eastchester Road to Morris Park Avenue.
  4. Turn right at Morris Park Avenue to Seminole Avenue.
  5. Turn right into Morris Park Gate

From NEW JERSEY

  1. George Washington Bridge to Cross Bronx Expressway to Bronx River Parkway as above from MANHATTAN West Side.
  2. Take Bronx River Parkway North to Pelham Parkway exit.
  3. Follow Pelham Parkway East to Jacobi Medical Center.
  4. Enter Main Gate
