Stand Up To Violence

As the first in his family to graduate from college, Dr. NoƩ Romo is no stranger to overcoming challenges. After being discouraged from applying to a pre-med program when he was a young student, Dr. Romo was accepted to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. With the help of a scholarship from the National Hispanic Health Foundation and United Health Foundation's Diverse Scholars Initiative, Dr. Romo graduated in 2008 and completed a pediatrics residency at Jacobi Medical Center in 2012.
